Lo Sereno is a boutique hotel with ten suites on Troncones Beach. Inspired by its vibrant natural surroundings, Lo Sereno was designed to complement its environment, providing guests with a luxurious place to enjoy the surf, food, and culture.

Its architecture is modern and minimalistic. Clean lines, raw materials, and handcrafted finishes create a space that feels natural and intentional. Each suite includes a private terrace, a large rain shower, and polished concrete floors that stay cool underfoot. Wooden accents and open-air layouts help blur the line between indoors and out.
At the center of the property is a striking black-tiled infinity pool overlooking the beach. Loungers line the pool deck, and the open-air bar offers complimentary snacks and beverages throughout the day.
The restaurant is a key part of the experience. Open to the sea breeze, it serves fresh, locally sourced Mexican cuisine with a contemporary touch. Breakfast is included and changes daily. Lunch and dinner menus offer seafood, grilled meats, and seasonal produce. The cocktail list leans local, with mezcal and tequila-based drinks crafted to match the setting.
Lo Sereno’s location is peaceful but not remote. The town of Troncones is just minutes away, where you’ll find small shops, cafes, and yoga studios. Most guests, though, stay close to the hotel—surfing, swimming, or simply relaxing. The pace is slow, and the atmosphere is quiet. It’s a place for morning beach walks, long lunches, and sunset cocktails.
The surf out front is gentle and consistent, ideal for beginners or a quick paddle. More advanced waves are a short drive away. Boards are available on-site, and the staff can help organize lessons or day trips to breaks like La Saladita and The Ranch.
There are no TVs and no scheduled activities. The luxury here is the setting itself—palm trees rustling, waves breaking, and open space to breathe. Lo Sereno doesn’t try to entertain. It gives you space to unplug, rest, and return to the basics.
It’s a quiet, polished take on beach life—barefoot, elegant, and grounded in place.

Troncones is a quiet surf town with consistent waves year-round. Right in front of Lo Sereno is a mellow beach break, good for beginners. A 5-minute drive north leads to Troncones Point, a reliable left-hand point break ideal for intermediate surfers. For longboarders, La Saladita—20 minutes north—offers one of the longest lefts in the region. Advanced surfers can head 40 minutes to The Ranch for hollow, reefy rights. Mornings are glassy, with light winds typically picking up by afternoon.
Lo Sereno’s open-air restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. The focus is fresh seafood, local produce, and simple but refined flavors. Guests can expect dishes like ceviche, fish tacos, and seasonal specials. The bar mixes mezcal cocktails and offers a curated wine list. With beach views and laid-back service, meals feel easy. In town, a handful of small restaurants offer tacos, grilled fish, and traditional Mexican plates within a short walk or drive.
Lo Sereno is located in Troncones, a coastal village 30 minutes north of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport (ZIH). The region is warm year-round, with dry winters and humid summers. Just a 3-minute drive from the hotel, Trocones is a relaxed, quaint beach town. With a population of just 500 people, Trocones is off-grid, with an easygoing culture deeply rooted in local traditions.
Nearby, guests can enjoy yoga classes, nature hikes in the Sierra Madre foothills, or bike rides through town. Horseback rides and surf lessons are available, and day trips to La Saladita or Zihuatanejo offer more to explore.
