Public transport is not easily accessible from LA or Malibu to the trailer, so it is recommended that guests hire a car service. The end of the drive includes a winding road—best navigated during daylight. The area is dry and sunny most of the year, with cool ocean breezes. While the trailer is rather secluded, there are many activities close by. The Deer Creek Canyon Park is located next to the trailer and offers many short or long hikes for guests. Other nearby activities include hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains, beach days at Point Dume, or shopping in Malibu Country Mart.
